Co Meath Awards

2016 - Present

Bernadine Carry (Environmental Awareness Officer, Meath County Council) and Peter Baxter ( Director, Createschool) founded the Rubbish Film Festival in 2015-16. Six schools participated that year, and it has run every year except 2020-21.

In 2022–23, the festival became a national competition with a one-minute film and poster category. 52 schools from 6 counties created 81 films and posters, and more counties have agreed to join in 2023–24.
